A place to begin

Every part of your
experience belongs.

You may be carrying a loss others cannot see. Navigating a pregnancy that feels more frightening than joyful. Or wondering why parenthood feels so different from what you imagined.

Therapy offers space to speak honestly, make room for difficult feelings, and explore what support can look like for you. You don’t need the right words—or a clear plan—to begin.

How I can help

Support through life's
most tender chapters.

03 / Trauma & adjustment

Finding your
footing again

Support with reproductive trauma, distressing experiences, and life changes. Together, we can explore ways to feel more grounded and navigate daily life.

Meet your therapist

Meet Yonina.

LCSW · PMH-C · M.S.Ed.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker specializing in perinatal and reproductive mental health. I support women and couples through fertility challenges, pregnancy and infant loss, reproductive trauma, and the emotional changes of pregnancy and parenthood.

Alongside my private practice, I serve as Clinical Coordinator of ATIME HUG, work for the New York City Department of Education, and teach psychology and social work as an adjunct professor. I also provide clinical supervision, parent training, and national presentations on grief and reproductive mental health.

What working with me feels like

You don’t have to arrive with the right words or put a positive spin on what you’re going through. I offer a warm, thoughtful space where we can make room for grief, uncertainty, and conflicting feelings. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you and what support could look like in your day-to-day life, with respect for your pace, your values, and your story.

For professionals & organizations

I also provide clinical supervision and educational presentations related to grief, reproductive mental health, and culturally responsive care.

A few things you may be wondering

Starting with questions is okay.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. I offer telehealth psychotherapy to clients located in New York, New Jersey, and Florida during their sessions.

Do I have to know exactly what I need?

No. You can begin with what you’re experiencing, even if it feels difficult to explain. An initial conversation can help us explore your needs and whether working together feels like a good fit.

Can therapy make room for my faith and values?

Your cultural background, beliefs, and values are welcome in our work. We can discuss how you would like these parts of your life to be understood and included.

Do you provide superbills for insurance reimbursement?

Yes. I provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company when seeking out-of-network reimbursement. Eligibility and reimbursement amounts depend on your individual plan and are not guaranteed. Please check your out-of-network benefits with your insurer.

How can I learn about fees and availability?

Fees, insurance arrangements, and appointment availability can be discussed directly before you schedule. Email Ytkaufman.lcsw@gmail.com to inquire.
